Clinical Psychology Services

By enquiring about clinical psychology services, you consent to share your details with Mindful Yoga Psychology and Dr Chantell Douglas via the booking form. This will enable Chantell to know what kind of support you are enquiring about.

Following this, we will respond to your email with/for further information, and/or to arrange a brief chat with Chantell to ask any questions you might have about therapy or consultation. If after receiving your request and on initial screening it seems like Chantell might be able to support you around your concern, you will be asked via email to agree a time to talk. If on initial screening it seems Chantell is unable to support your concern (for example, because it is an urgent concern or it’s outside of the remit of support Chantell currently offers), you will receive an email to suggest some alternative support options.

A telephone consultation / phone call usually lasts about 10-15 minutes. A phone call is an opportunity for you to ask Chantell any questions you might have about therapy, to hear about some of the approaches she draws on in her work, clarify the support you are asking for, and if you think Chantell would be a good fit, plan further work together.

After your call, if you and Chantell decide to work together, Chantell will first arrange an assessment with you to find out more about the issues you are wanting help with. For parents and families an assessment is typically between 1-3 sessions depending on the issues you’d like to discuss. Sometimes an assessment can be longer if using an exploratory approach to best support our joint understanding of the concerns and next steps. Together with Chantell you will explore possible support options, which could be ongoing therapy sessions with Chantell, or to signpost you to a more suitable service. Chantell typically offers short-term work (up to 6 sessions), which can be longer or shorter depending on your specific needs and tailored plan. Chantell may recommend/signpost you to a more appropriate or suitable support if she feels that the concerns are outside of the scope of her clinical experience, practice or skills.

Please note that clinical psychology sessions for parents (in regards to their child/young person/experience of parenthood) will be approximately £125 per 50-minute online session. Sessions are predominantly online video sessions using Zoom. It is therefore assumed by agreeing to sessions on Zoom that you are familiar with Zoom’s Terms and Conditions and privacy policy. Prices for in person sessions will be £150 per session, and school consultation sessions or with other mental health professionals will vary depending on the request- Chantell will discuss these options with you during the call. Similarly, requests for talks, writing or workshops for organisations or events, prices may vary depending on what you’d like, and Chantell will discuss these with you during the initial phone call. For further information about the Mindful Yoga Psychology privacy policy, please see the ‘GDPR’ link at the bottom of the website.

Yoga and Meditation Services

Thank you for enquiring about Yoga with Mindful Yoga Psychology. Chantell offers a range of yoga and meditation services, including adult (general / private 1:1 / group sessions / specially tailored wellbeing yoga and meditation packages to best suit you).

The classes/sessions are tailored as best as possible to be inclusive for all levels and experiences. However, when you’re practicing via a live stream or recording or in person, it is up to you to assess whether the class is suitable for you. If you’re injured, ill, have any long-term conditions or are pregnant, you should always consult a doctor before you start practising. And if you’re pregnant or postpartum, please check that the practice is suitable before you start the class and take great care throughout. For anyone, regardless of whether you’re injured or not, it is up to you to assess the safety of your practice and to never exceed your physical limitations, which will be different for each and every one of us. It’s encouraged to practice in a considered way, listening to your body as best as possible, building up strength and flexibility slowly, and never rushing into anything new, and never pushing to the point of pain or injury. You are encouraged to take as much rest as you need, and this is welcomed whether you are joining live, practicing with a recording, or in person. As is the case with all physical exercise you are advised to consult your doctor before you start.

Chantell and Mindful Yoga Psychology accepts no responsibility for injuries suffered while practicing in a class, online or otherwise - by requesting this class you assent to this. You must be over 18 years old to book onto a session. Please note, any recordings will only be available for up to 7 days unless otherwise stated. By submitting your form, you are agreeing to be sent a payment request, zoom class link or recording via email. Please note that Chantell and Mindful Yoga Psychology is unable to provide a refund for any classes once paid for.

If you are requesting a 1:1 Yoga or Meditation Session, you consent to receiving an email from Chantell requesting further information about the type of support you find helpful, a policy and consent form and to arrange a first session. For private 1:1 / group / wellbeing packages requests, Chantell may arrange an initial brief phone call with you to discuss the specific offer or package of support you would like. If you agree to a phone call, you will be asked to provide a telephone number that Chantell can call you on.

Thank you very much for practicing with Chantell and hope you enjoy the class, package, course or workshop.
