‘Supporting children's fears and worries through big life events, change and uncertainty.’ A Psychology Talk with Dr Chantell Douglas

Navigating big life events, change and uncertainty can understandably bring up fears and worries for many of us, including children. This workshop aims to offer parents or teachers practical ideas and psychological information to help recognise, connect with and support children at these times. Join Dr Chantell Douglas, Clinical Psychologist, specialising in working with parents, children and families, with nearly 15 years experience in the NHS.

Together we explore:

-What might be underlying children's fears and worries

-What can maintain them and keep them going

-How the body and brain responds to stress

-Practical ideas to support children when fears and worries show up

-A mindfulness-based exercise for parents / teachers (that links to supporting children too)

Date: Thursday 5th May, 8-9.15 PM

Location: Online live stream via Zoom (recording available for 7 days)

Price: £30

Booking: This workshop is being offered via State Yoga Highgate, booking here.
